I'm restoring a 28' Sport fisherman and noticed that the shower drains straight into the bilge. It appears there should be a hose connected to the underside of the drain and this should lead into the sump basin where the pump is located. I see a hole in the side of the basin close to the shower drain but there's no hose or fitting coming through it. Has anyone else experienced this? It seems like the builder forgot to attach a hose.

I'm trying to decide how to correct this. It's not easy because I don't have access underneath the drain fitting. Any suggestions appreciated.
